Education

The Uniting Church understands that education is “a lifelong journey by which all people develop the ability to participate in society and lead lives that are life creating and life sharing”.

It commits itself to promoting education for its members as part of their faith, ministry and community responsibility and promotes the value of diversity in educational provision, expression and access.

Uniting Mission and Education is responsible for leadership in educational resources, facilities, processes and consultancy. It equips, challenges and supports the people of God so that they grow towards maturity in faith and live out that faith by exercising their particular ministries within the world.

It advises the Synod on policy and strategy in education and seeks to provide the resources which congregations need to grow in faith and to witness in confidence in the contemporary world.
