The Uniting Church in Australia NSW Synod

Uniting Church Records and Historical Society

Temporary changes as archivist resigns

After nine years of active service, Mr Daryl Lightfoot has resigned as the Uniting Church Records and Historical Society’s Librarian-Archivist for personal family reasons.

The Uniting Church Archives at “Eskdale” has been required to make a few temporary changes to cover the period until staffing can be restored.

They are as follows:

  • The office will be open on Mondays only (Public Holidays excepted) from 10am to 3pm.
  • Researchers will need to make an appointment by phoning (02) 9683 3147 or emailing <archives@uca.org.au>.

Please note that the combined Archives Church Service will still be held at 11 am on 14 February 2008 at Scots Church, Margaret Street, Sydney.

So, keep sending your church records and other historical material to the Archives, but contact the office on a Monday, so we can let you know the best way to send them in.
