A key to the future of the Uniting Church and the effectiveness of the church's mission are competent and compassionate leaders who can connect the core of the gospel message to their local community situation.

Goals of the Leadership Institute in supporting leaders are:
(A) Better understanding and skills to respond to what is going on around us
(B) Identifying and using our strengths
(C) Growing our foundations
(D) Creating safe spaces in which to grow


Thus the LI offers programs, events, and experiences in partnership with other agencies to resource and equip leaders for today's mission context.

A key focus is the Making a Difference Leadership Intensives –  combining experiential visits, readings, group work and personal formation, participants work through how to exercise more effective leadership where they are...and the strengths they bring.  Ideal for taking stock and moving forward.
