AIM:
The aim of the Board of Mission is to call the church to
participate in God's mission for the sake of the world.
Therefore the Board of Mission
in active relationship with all councils of the Uniting Church and
with other churches, will:
-
focus on building
transformed communities of hope.
-
seek to grow a movement of
people engaged in sharing a journey of Christian faith and mission
-
encourage the continual
reshaping of the life and mission of the Church as a response to
changing contexts and priorities.
In resourcing mission across
the Synod the Board of Mission is aware that the Church serves diverse
communities including urban, suburban, rural, remote, indigenous and
multicultural, and differing mission responses are required in
different communities. |
