New Synod website

The Communications Unit has launched the new website for the Synod of New South Wales and the ACT.

The website — http://nsw.uca.org.au — invites visitors to investigate the church and Christianity, worship and spirituality, how to participate in the life of the Uniting Church and how we care for one another and for the communities we live in.

Uniting Church and international Christian news is updated daily.

Synod Fund Annual Report

The 2008 annual report of the Synod of New South Wales and the ACT, We Gather, was mailed to congregations in late September.

The report echoes the Synod meeting’s theme of inclusiveness and emphasises the way Uniting Church gatherings of God’s people nurture those within them but also welcome others.

The report outlines the extensive work of the Synod and how congregational contributions to Living is Giving and the Synod Fund have enabled this work to happen.

Extra copies of the report are available by calling 8267 4307 and an online version will appear at http://nsw.uca.org.au along with summary reports in Korean and Tongan.
