Launch of Rev. Bill Crews 2007 Christmas Appeal
The Rev. Bill Crews’s Exodus Foundation 2007 Christmas appeal will be officially launched by Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, Governor of New South Wales, on Monday November 5 at 1.00 pm.
This Christmas the Exodus Foundation needs to raise over $2 million to continue its good work.
“The launch of our 2007 Christmas Appeal is an important occasion. The money raised helps us care for kids and homeless Sydney-siders at Christmas”, said Mr Crews.
Demand for services is greater than ever, with an increasing number of families needing assistance to make ends meet. More people are also eating in the Exodus Foundation’s free Loaves & Fishes Restaurant. And the Exodus Foundation has also significantly expended its work in educating troubled kids and mentoring homeless teens.
On Christmas Day Mr Crews and his team will serve a free lunch to over 3,000 needy people.
“For a lot of them, we are their only family at Christmas”, said Mr Crews.
Since it was founded by Rev. Crews in 1989, the Exodus Foundation has grown to become one of Sydney’s most important charities, helping tens of thousands every year.
