This new website — nsw.uca.org.au — is the official online gateway to the ministry of the Synod of New South Wales and the ACT.
It is an expression of the Synod’s faith and mission and proclaims the life and work of the Uniting Church.
It is a website for the people of the Uniting Church and those seeking to know more about the church.
The website invites visitors to investigate the church and Christianity, worship and spirituality, how to participate in the life of the Uniting Church and how we care for one another and for the communities we live in.
Uniting Church and international Christian news is updated daily.
The “church” menu provides a range of institutional information, from Christianity to “resources and administration” for congregations. Included are links to by-laws, reports, publications including Insights magazine online and ways to contribute financially.
“Worship and spirituality” includes liturgies and services to mark life events and “people” has information to help you get involved.
A directory provides information and website links for Synod offices, congregations, presbyteries, the national Assembly and other synods.
In addition to strengthening the unity of the many diverse expressions of the Uniting Church, the Synod website makes our faith and ethos more accessible to those less familiar with the structures of the church.
It provides opportunities to share knowledge and resources for spiritual growth, prayer and worship; opportunities for people act in mission, to volunteer, to practise justice and reflect Christ’s saving grace.
Church members can keep up-to-date with events and visitors can find a Uniting Church congregation.
Whether you are an ordained minister, lay minister, church member, seeker, educator or student, the Synod website offers a range of functions and resources that are relevant to your life and spiritual journey.
