Uturn
The U Turn project is a way that every congregation — no matter how small (or large!) — can get involved in effective mission — Moving with God, Transforming Communities. It’s easy to do and as a side effect could transform the Uniting Church from an aging, declining traditional church into the fastest growing church in Australia. The “Uturn Interact” site (www.interact.uturn.org.au) is a resource for those who are involved, and those who want to know more. Glen Powell, NSW Synod New Congregations consultant, is the contact person for the Uturn Interact site.
Coalface
The Coalface Network (www.coalface.nsw.uca.org.au) is a community of people with a connection to the Uniting Church in NSW who are having a go at establishing new gatherings within the church or are experimenting with new approaches to church and mission. This virtual network exists to share ideas and experiences and so that we can support each other in the sometimes stressful, sometimes sublime process of starting something new. If you are interested in being part of this network, feel free to sign on and introduce yourself. Glen Powell, NSW Synod New Congregations consultant, is the contact person for the Coalface network.
